Zoerb Prairie Work Event

Friends of the Blufflands has been working to restore some the bluff prairies in Hixon Forest. Join us on a work day from 5:30 to 8:00 to continue this effort. We will meet at Upper Hixon on FA at the pump track parking lot next to the weather station. We will be working to expand the buffer around the prairie by removing buckthorn and orther invasives. Please come with long pants, sturdy fully enclosed work shoes, and work gloves. Long sleeved shirts are preferred. Some of us will be running chain saws and some will be using herbicides. We will supply hearing and eye protection, bug spray as needed, neopene gloves for those using the herbicide and other equipment. lease RSVP if you are able to join us. Thanks!
