On July 27th, a volunteer group was working on Stry Prairie pulling sweet clover at the base of the cliff with all of the graffiti (why do people tarnish the beauty of a cliff with graffiti???). As we worked, we noticed that the sweet clover was growing on the cliff itself, pretty high up. Not to be deterred, the intrepid Brian Burns climbed up there and pulled it!
Please join us on Stry on Friday, 8/21, from 8 am to noon to continue the restoration of this beautiful site.
When: Friday, 8/21 from 8:00 am to noon, but come and leave at any time.
Meet: At the end of Rim of the City Road.
Work: We will be cutting and treating brush on areas that are both steep AND flat- your choice...but no climbing cliffs! :)
What to Bring: Gloves, sturdy footwear, eye protection, plenty of water, and a snack if needed.
