About
When: Friday, 8/7 from 7:00 am to noon, but come and leave at any time.
Meet: At the Mathy Quarry Trailhead, at the end of Hwy FA.
Work: There is flowering white sweet clover to pull on the prairie. We can roam down the slope and east to search for and pull any remaining sumac or crown vetch. Lastly, we can either pull or do cut-and-treat for small honeysuckle and buckthorn. It is all over around the edges of the prairie, but I suggest we work up by the top by the trail.
What to Bring: Gloves, sturdy footwear, eye protection, plenty of water, and a snack if needed. We'll have tools for cutting brush and whatever other tools for other work.
Difficulty: Steep areas, but options to work on flatter parts.
