Volunteer Work Day at Mathy Bluff Prairie
Join us for a morning of brush control work at Mathy Bluff Prairie alongside the Coulee Region Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts! If time allows, we may finish the day at Birch Point Prairie.

About
When: Friday, 7/31 from 7:00 am to noon, but come and leave at any time.
Meet: At the Mathy Quarry Trailhead, at the end of Hwy FA.
Work: We will be doing the second round of sumac cutting (without herbicide application) to control this aggressive native shrub on our remnant prairie sites.
What to Bring: Gloves, sturdy footwear, eye protection, plenty of water, and a snack if needed. We'll have tools for cutting sumac (loppers, Fiskars pruning stiks, brush saws) and whatever other tools for other work.
Difficulty: Steep areas, but options to work on flatter parts.
