Mathy Bluff Work Day

Mike O'Brien is leading another work outing on Mathy Bluff Prairie this Tuesday morning, June 22,  There's been considerable work on the prairie this spring, and the results are visible from the marsh trails.  The first effort was a combined effort by the DNR natural areas crew, the Mississippi Valley Conservancy, and Friends of the Blufflands to begin the restoration effort.  This project will add to the previous work to expand La Crosse's bluffland habitat.

The outing is 8 a.m. till noon but volunteers can leave sooner as they want. Meet at the Mathy Blufflands parking lot. Long pants and long sleeve shirts recommended. Sturdy shoes
