Jon, a retired physician, became involved with Friends of the Blufflands when it was founded in 2016. He has taken great pleasure in watching the organization flourish and make remarkable progress in restoring the prairies around La Crosse. Jon especially enjoys learning about this remarkable ecosystem and sharing his enthusiasm with others during workdays and hikes. Each year, he eagerly welcomes spring by looking for the first pasqueflower emerging through the brown grass or lingering snow.
