Max is an artist and ecological restorationist with deep family ties to the Coulee Region in and around La Crosse. He is currently working as a Habitat Technician at Mississippi Valley Conservancy and is a routine attendee of Friends of the Blufflands workdays. Out in the field, he’s always excited to pause for a closer look at the following wonders: winter bird’s-foot violets (before they bloom), the intricate carvings of bark beetles, and the scarlet anthers of side-oats grama in bloom!
